Does Karma Really Exist?

There is no scientific test that proves a supernatural force automatically rewards or punishes every action. Karma is a religious and philosophical concept. But many of the patterns people call karma—lost trust, damaged reputation, broken relationships and repeated behavior producing repeated outcomes—are observable.

The spiritual question and the practical question are different

Asking whether cosmic karma exists is a matter of belief. Asking whether actions tend to create consequences is easier to answer: yes, choices often change relationships, opportunities, reputations and a person’s own habits in ways that can return later.

Why it can look as if someone “got away with it”

Consequences are not always immediate or visible to the person who was hurt. Someone may appear successful after lying or cheating while trust is quietly disappearing around them. It is also possible that some wrongdoing never receives the neat punishment we want to see.

Do not make your healing depend on seeing punishment

Waiting for a dramatic downfall can keep your attention attached to the person who hurt you. A healthier interpretation of karma is to let their choices belong to them while you protect your own boundaries, evidence, finances and future decisions.
